We have a bustling year ahead of us here at the Hackett Music Studio. Students are creating their own music, recording and performing their own songs, working at their craft, and finding a love for the music of the masters as well as today's popular songs making magic one lesson at a time.  Everyone is progressing and making me proud!!

I have been teaching voice, flute and piano for 10 years. I teach all ages and focus on bringing out the beauty of the individual voice with healthy, natural technique. I offer private lessons as well as group lessons.

My Students have gone on to major in vocal performance at college and have participated and advanced in prestigious competitions. Here, they have placed in the Chandler's Children's Choir, Moezart Productions, Mesa Encore Theatre, Copperstar Theatre, Youth Valley Theatre, Actors Youth Theatre, Mesa Community College, Scottsdale Musical Theater Company, as well as in summer vocal programs such as the prestigious Eastman School of Music Horizons Program for High Schoolers, The Berklee School of Music Aspire Program, as well as the Westminster Summer Program for singers. I'm always on the look out for competitions, musical theater programs, and performing opportunities for my students.

About me:
I received  my degree from the Eastman School of Music and have performed the roles of Hannah Glawari (The Merry Widow), Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte) and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) with Opera NEO in San Diego. I've also sung the roles of Nedda (I Pagliacci) with Sin City Opera in Las Vegas, The Queen of the night (Die Zauberflote) and Frasquita (Carmen) with the Phoenix Opera, Hannah Glawari (The Merry Widow) and Madame Pompadour(Madame Pompadour) with Ohio Light Opera. I began this season Singing Violetta at the Vienna Opera Academy followed by a new production at Arizona Opera (Shining Brow). I've also sung with the FAVA music festival in Austria and FIO music festival in Brazil. I have won first prize in the Southwest Vocal Competition and Schubert Club Competition and was a finalist in the Loren L. Zachary Society National Vocal Competition. I've also been a featured soloist with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Phoenix Symphony, the Marina del Ray Symphony and Promusica of Arizona.  I am also an active Member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing). I am equally comfortable with musical theater and have played leading roles in many productions including Marian Paroo (The Music Man) Laurie (Oklahoma), Margy (State Fair), Rapunzel (Into the Woods) and Mrs. Gardiner in the premier production of Pride and Prejudice.
